A Brief Explanation

Some may be asking themselves the question "just what is a Grin-Go-Gan?" and some may also be wondering “and also I am wondering, just what is The Big P.A. anyway?” Well, here are the answers to those questions. Let’s start with the latter and then address the former because sometimes, despite the widely-held belief, first things are not always first... well, actually they are but we can talk about that later...

The Big P.A. is the Colonia Paso Ancho, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. Paso Ancho is a small pueblo located at the far east (not to be confused with The Far East) edge of Puerto Vallarta, up the Rio Cuale, in the mountains, and on the edge of the jungle. I call it The Big P.A. cuz if ya wanna get there just look for a bus with a big P and a big A in the window.

Okay, so now, Grin-Go-Gan. Grin-Go-Gan is a combination of the names “Gringo” and “Gaugin” (as in Paul Gaugin the artist and if you don’t know who he is, first of all, you really should, and second of all, look him up) and can be defined as;

Grin-Go-Gan [grĭn-gō-gān] – verb
To smile broadly with amusement in a search for new ways of life that are more advanced, more real, more sincere, full of joy, happiness, and charity
Para sonreír anchamente con diversión en una búsqueda para nuevos estilos de vida que son mas avanzados,mas verdaderos, mas sinceros, repletos de alegrías, de felicidad, y de caridad.

Grin-Go-Gan’s motto is, “When You Discover Where You Are, It Doesn’t Matter Where You’ve Been” - “Cuando Descubres Donde Estas, No Importa Donde Estuviste”

...and now you know ...unless you don't know who Paul Gaugin is, but you're gonna look him up, aren't you?
